A Muslim Experience Of Going To Church
A Muslim Experience Of Going To Church This week I visited the St. Bernard church located on 143rd and Parker Rd in Homer Glen, IL. My friend came with me, she is also Muslim. We actually visited it twice. The first time it was like 6 pm, and it was dark out. We thought it would be open because our mosque is always open. So we went and as we were pulling up, we got scared. It was dark, and all I saw was crosses, and when I was getting ready to open the door to see if anyone was there, I just freaked out and left. I dont know why, but it looked to us as if it was closed. I really thought there would be someone sitting there or something. But then my friend and I went the next day in the morning. As we arrived at the church the next morning we saw a lot of families, and people getting together. They all seemed so happy. At first I was all excited with my pen and notebook, then I was kind of shy and scared to walk in, I really dont know why. Everyone was really nice, so we walked in. The first person that came up to me was a girl that my friend knew from high school she was really surprised to see us there, so she stuck with us and made it less awkward for us. She said Sabreen the first thing you need to know is Catholic means universal that should be a great way to start your essay. I liked that, I never knew that. It was pretty loud in there. Everyone was talking and laughing. I was very surprised to see how loud it is; because I always thought that a place of worship would be quiet. In my place of worship, the mosque, it is really quiet and everyone whispers. We consider it to be very inappropriate to be loud, unless everyone is ready to go home. But I noticed when the prie st started talking everyone became quiet; similar to the mosque when the Sheikh gives a lesson/lecture everyone becomes quiet. The gathering was motivating. The melody was a bit loud and from time to time it completed me to feel awkward again I mean it was one atmosphere I have by no means existed in. At Mosques, there truly are not any melodic gadgets and as I mentioned it is a lot calmer. Anyway as I walked in I had to say the WOW. There was stained glass everywhere. I mean everywhere. It was so beautiful. And there were people around the holy water they started dipping their hands in there. It was so cool. Ive heard about holy water before. We Muslims also have Holy water our Holy water is ZamZam. It is only located in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. But there are bottles of ZamZam now where we can buy at some Islamic stores. We consider it to be so pure. And everyone that goes to do pilgrimage goes by the holy water and starts drinking and also dipping their hands in it. There were many sc ulptures of diverse volumes and forms. In Islam, There are no sculptures because it is an offense. It is also an offense to have any images in spite of of what they describe in a Mosque, where the church was fully enclosed in pictures. The pictures were so beautiful; I cannot even describe them they were just outstanding how they were made. I have learned a whole lot from this experience. I talked to many people; many of them were very nice, and willing to share with me about the Catholic Religion. I learned that Catholics consider with the intention of Christ is the messiah of the aged proofs called Messianic prophecies. In an occasion recognized since the personification, the Church educates people on that, throughout the control of the sacred strength, the lord developed into joint by means of soul natural world as soon as Christ was considered in sacred Virgin Mary. Christ is understood, so, to be in cooperation entirely delightful and completely being. People follow Christs teachings and his wisdom. Similarly to Muslims we follow Prophet Mohammads teachings and wisdoms. It is so interesting how hopes and dedications for Virgin Mary are a division of Catholic faithfulness but are different from the devotion to God. The Church embraces Mary, as an everlasting virgin and as a mother of God. So what I understood was that Virgin Mary was so important to them it was more of respect then worship towards her their beliefs consist of her clean and tidy formation with no blemish of a sin and physical supposition into paradise at the finish of her existence. Catholics believe Christ rose from the dead on Easter Sunday, they believe in the rebirth the spirit of Jesus was joined up to His corpse by His individual heavenly authority. Muslims believe that When Jesus was on the cross, he never died, and that Alllah (God) took him up to heaven and put a person that looks like him instead. We believe that Jesus is up in heaven with Allah right now, Also that when Jesus comes down one day, that will be on the Day of Judgment. Some people thought I was thinking of converting, this religion is really interesting but I dont think I will convert. I mean I grew up knowing all about Islam, and in this class I have learned about many other religions. But I am sticking to Islam, because I feel like it is the right religion for me, more like I know it is the right religion for me. After I went home many of my friends and family thought I was going to get into an argument with someone about being wrong or something. I tend to be a very defensive person. But I really wanted to understand the different religions out there. I really want to go to a Jewish synagogue one day and see what the Jews believe; I mean you dont believe it till you see it right? I read all these essays, and the books, and researched about many religions, but I really want to start experiencing them. This experience was beyond awesome. Sabreen

A Womanââ¬â¢s Place Is In The House Essay
A womanââ¬â¢s place is in the house The place of woman was considered to be in the house almost since the beginning of time. Back then, women used to be the only ones responsible for the household and for the bringing up of their children. They lacked of sufficient education, as most of them never finished school and only a minority went to the university. And even if they did acquire a higher education, they scarcely had the same opportunities as men because they were considered inferior. Therefore, they were usually forced to bow their heads and accept the situation the way it was because they didnââ¬â¢t know how to defend themselves and clarify the truth. All this took place up to 1880,when women started to rebel and to demand the equality of rights between men and women. They began fighting for their right to vote, to have the same educational opportunities as men and to be judged by their knowledge and their education and not by their sex. It took them years to accomplish their goals but they finally made it. The emancipation of woman was and still is a fact. However, there still exists a considerable amount of people that believes that a womanââ¬â¢s place is exclusively in the house. This, assuming that the woman is a mother and therefore responsible before the members of her family. But are all women going to marry or be relegated to a life of inaction during their youth or while they remain single? Certainly not. Moreover, a schooled and scientific woman can understand her duties a lot better and is capable of completing them. A mother should know science in order to inspire her children in great deeds and noble sentiments, making them feel superior to the other objects in the universe, teaching them from the cradle to become familiar with the great scenes of nature. And nothing more ideal and sublime than the scientific mother, who goes to spend an evening at the astronomical observatory with her children by the hand to show them Jupiter, Venus, preparing in that way their tender hearts for the most legitimate aspirations that could occupy menââ¬â¢s minds. In addition, a working woman provides financial aid and consequently a larger amount of money can be spent in order to satisfy less essential needs, which will please the members of her family. But there are times when scientific women become indifferent and are not capable of giving tenderness because they are too preoccupied with themselves and become demanding, despotic and vain and do not know how to make a happy home. For them, there are no responsibilities to carry out, only whims to satisfy. Thus, women should find the golden section between the responsibilities before their family and their job in order to be happy and please their family at the same time. Besides, thereââ¬â¢s enough time and competence for cooking and mending and a great soul such as that of women, equal to their mates, born to embrace all the beauty that exists in creation of divine origin and end, should not be wasted all on seeing if the plates are clean and the rocking cradle.

Hiv / Aids A Devastating Disease - 1482 Words
HIV/AIDS is a devastating disease that has predominated in Africa due to the long incubation period of the virus, poverty, sexual promiscuousness, urbanization, trading routes, lack of knowledge, medical advances (use of needles, blood transfusion), and gender inequalities. Although the government denied the existence of HIV/ AIDS for many years, they have begun working towards various solutions such as the ABC (Abstinence, Be faithful, and Condom use) method and United States initiatives like PEPFAR (Presidentââ¬â¢s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief). However, there is still more work to be done. Healthcare policies should further HIV prevention interventions, such as providing more access to testing, encouraging behavioral changes (e.g. condom use), and establishing programs that reach and empower women within a patriarchal society. Strengthening the African health system will ultimately reside in strong national leadership and governance in resource-limited settings to improve acc ess and health outcomes for HIV/AIDS patients. Critical Analysis of the HIV/AIDS Epidemic in Africa Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)/ Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is an important global public health concern that has afflicted individuals worldwide for over 30 years. At this time, railroads and coalmines invaded Appalachia, forcing many mountain people to abandon farming and go to work for the railroad or coal mines to feed their families. To this day, most still have some connection to the mines (Innes, 2012). However; you still had to have somewhat of an education in order to work in the coal mines or on the railroads. But the more I research and explore into depression, the more I realize what a misinterpreted concept it is to the public world- so today, I will be talking about the less publicized about aspects of teenage depression and what a deadly disease it is. ââ¬Å"The Outsidersâ⬠ââ¬â Essay test The ââ¬Å"Outsidersâ⬠by S. E. Hinton has three main themes, innocence, misunderstanding, and loneliness. We will write a custom essay sample on The Outsiers Essay Test or any similar topic only for you Order Now In chapter eight, Johnny states, ââ¬Å" Sixteen years on the streets and you can learn a lot. But all the wrong things, not the things you want to learn. â⬠This quote is saying that you learn how to live a rough life you learn to fight and fend for yourself. When living on the streets; you usually donââ¬â¢t get a traditional education like learning how to do math or play a sport. The Outsiders shows the importance of preserving the hope, open-mindedness, and appreciation of beauty that are characteristic of childhood. Primarily through the character of Dallas (Dally Winston) the novel also shows how easily experience can harden people and cause them to lose these youthful traits. It also shows the tragic results of this process. dallyââ¬â¢s rough Childhood has made him tough and fearsome, and he seems not to care about anything. But Dally has a soft spot tooââ¬âhis love for Johnny. Johnny represents the hope that Dally has lost, and Dally strives to protect Johnny from the forces that threaten to pull him into the cycle of violence that has enveloped Dally. When Johnny and Dally die, an acknowledgment of the death of any hope in his life. Johnnyââ¬â¢s dying words, ââ¬Å"stay gold,â⬠also touch on this theme by referencing the Robert Frost poem ââ¬Å"Nothing Gold Can Stay. â⬠While the poemââ¬â¢s messageââ¬âthat all beautiful things Never stayââ¬âforces the two boys to realize that they canââ¬â¢t hide from the realities of growing up. Both the Socs and the greasers sacrifice their individuality to the styles and sentiments of their groups. Greasers, for example, wear their hair long and oiled, and share a common hostility toward the Socs. at the start of the novel, Ponyboy is a dedicated greaser even though he knows that certain aspects of his personality make him different from the rest of the gang (he likes movies, books and is still in school). He also feels that he is misunderstood because of these stereotypes. ââ¬Å"Greasers will still be greasers and Socs will still be Socs. Sometimes I think itââ¬â¢s the ones in the middle that are really the lucky stiffs. â⬠ââ¬Å" It wasnââ¬â¢t fair for the Socs to have everything. We were as good as they are; it wasnââ¬â¢t are fault we were Greasers. â⬠The gang provides him with too great of a sense of safety and strength to even consider life outside of it. But the events surrounding Bobââ¬â¢s death cause Ponyboy to think more deeply about who he wants to be, and his conversations with Johnny, Cherry, and Randy lead him to reflect on the path his life is taking. He begins to question the reasons for conflict between Socs and greasers, and he thinks hard about the decision to participate in the rumble. Ponyboyââ¬â¢s willingness to enter friendships with Socs signals the development of a distinct personal identity, one that includes association with the greasers but excludes total devotion to the greaser way of life. Darry encourages Ponyboy to pursue a life beyond gang membership, and the deaths of Johnny and Dally inspire the expression of his individual point of view in the English essay he writes. By the end of the novel, Ponyboy has committed himself to a life that will, at least in part, encourage other boys to find their own paths and voices, outside of the gang identity. During the book one character Johnny Cade is only descried as one thing, lonely. His farther is an alcoholic that constantly beating him and his mother ignores him. ââ¬Å"I prefer getting beaten by my dad, at least he knows Iââ¬â¢m there. By the time heââ¬â¢s in the hospital he is so upset he refuses to see his mom. ââ¬Å" my parents probably donââ¬â¢t care were I am. â⬠Johnny is always known for being abused by his parents and sleeping in the lot, but its only his friends that keep him from feeling completely invisible. The ââ¬Å"Outsidersâ⬠by S. E. Hinton has three main themes, innocence, misunderstanding, and loneliness. Darry, Ponyboy and Johnny express these themes splendidly, showing their courage and heroism. Supply Chain of Cheese Production Samples â⬠MyAssignmenthelp.com
Question: Discuss about the Supply Chain of Cheese Production. Answer: Supply Chain of Cheese in Dairy Industry Australia is one of the best-known countries in the world for dairy farming. A dairy industry, which started at a low rate in the 1978, has grown tremendously due to improved technology and machinery (Nettle, Brightling Hope 2013). Initially, fresh milk was the only produced product from the Australian dairy firms. The demand has been shifting from fresh milk to improved milk products like cheese, yogurt, butter, powder milk and many others. This paper discusses supply chain for cheese which was once a high selling product, but its sale has reduced. Cheese is a fresh or matured daily product that is obtained by draining of whey after the coagulation of casein the major milk protein (Nettle, Brightling Hope 2013). Supply Chain for Cheese The supply chain for cheese production is between two actors that is milk producers and the industries. Initially, before cheese production came up, whey used to be taken as a waste and given to animal as a feed (Nettle, Brightling Hope 2013). Today many industries are using this whey as a material for cheese production. The supply chain starts within the dairy farms, whereby milk from cows gets to the storage tanks available in the farm via pipes. The introduction of this technology has helped farmers to save time in milking and thus increasing productivity and efficiency. The milk is kept in the tanks that are regulated to temperatures of not more than 40 degrees and should not also stay in the tanks for more than 48 hours (Nettle, Brightling Hope 2013). From the farm, tanker trucks pick up the tanks and transport them to the processing industries. The milk has to be tested to be bacteria free and if it is well chilled. When these two factors are tested and found satisfactory, the milk proceeds for processing. The milk then undergoes acidification and coagulation to produce curds and whey that are cut into pieces, salted and allowed to ripen. Ripening is the last before the packaging and finally the distribution to various market stores for sale (Nettle, Brightling Hope 2013). Within this supply chain, there are several stakeholders and members who have key roles in which they play to ensure maximum productivity. The entire network entity of different stakeholders should work either dependently or independently to ensure satisfaction of same consumers (Gualarandris et al. 2015). The following is a list of stakeholders or members within a supply chain and the role they play to ensure customer satisfaction (Gualarandris et al. 2015). Stakeholder Role played Vendors (dairy farmers). They supply the raw material needed; these are dairy farms. Producers( Processors) They convert the raw material into final products. They carry out the entire processing of the product. Creditors They are able to lend loans to the farmers and the manufacturing company, thus ensuring a swift flow of the business. Distribution centres They help deliver the product to the retailers, the product is supplied to them, and now retailers can pick there at wholesale prices. Retailers They make product available to the final consumers at various estate shops or even supermarkets Consumers They are final users of the products, without consumers then the whole chain is non-profitable. The current supply chain for cheese production is efficient as it helps to ensure maximum satisfaction to the final user. As from the chain, it is evident that the chain is not only limited to the internal organization of the company, but also to external and even to the consumers. Feedbacks are able to be handed in from the consumers through the various members and finally to the company, making it very effective. Challenges, Strengths, and Threats for of the Supply Chain The supply chain for the production of cheese just like any other daily product's supply chain has a lot of challenges. First, there is a problem with legislative. Milk is a product that is subject to temperature and cleanliness testing, and the conditions are increasingly becoming tough from the legislatures (Yue et al. 2014). This makes the supply chain be complex. Secondly, ensuring that the milk moves rapidly from the farms to the processing companies is usually a complicated undertaking. This is because most of this transportation is done by trucks which may then end delaying causing damage to milk which usually has a high risk of spoilage and expiration. Thirdly, most farmers are usually affected with low production during some seasons; this makes it hard for the production of cheese as it strongly depends on milk as the raw material. Apart from these challenges, the supply chain has some advantages. To mention few of them, the supply chain is able to optimise general performan ce, minimise on wastes and costs, ensures effective visibility and transparency (Yue et al. 2014). Recommendations for Improvement of the Current Supply Chain The current supply chain for cheese production is effective although there some adjustments that have to be made to make it more efficient. The adjustments to be made on it are important as they will help the supply chain give maximum satisfaction to the consumers. Introduce mandatory pricing which will help enhance the transparency of the product price from the company to the distributors and finally to consumers (Lyn Tseng 2016). A forum for communication has to be created which will help the company get feedbacks from the final consumers of the products. Assessment needs to be incorporated in the chain to facilitate any improvement that has to be made on the product (Lyn Tseng 2016). The assessment will be done by an effective flow of information from the consumers, buyers, and sellers of the products at different destinations of supply. Companies should also incorporate in their supply chain an appropriate way of handling farmers and their supply. This will help ensure a consta nt flow of the raw materials. The advantages that are associated with supply chain can be leveraged to ensure maximum productivity. For instance, the supply chain is able to effectively increase the transparency and visibility in every sector. From the procurement to the processing and to pricing will help facilitate smooth flow and satisfaction to the consumers (Yue et al. 2014). Waste and losses are mostly experienced during production and even distribution, proper supply chain and implementation of the above recommendations will help in reduction of the losses. Challenges that are faced by these supply chain has to be addressed as well; for instance, insufficient supply of raw materials can be solved by the company engaging themselves to support farmers. Companies should be able to facilitate loans to farmers and proper education on the productivity of the raw materials. Transportation services for the delivering of raw materials together with the final product have to be improved; this will reduce the transportation cost and thus increasing the profit margin. Companies should be well prepared to follow the legislative rules that are set for them. Failure to do this may lead to the total closure of the companies and thus great loss (Yue et al. 2014). The company needs to develop ways in which they can handle the threats. For instance, threats that are associated with the supply chain for cheese are competitors and single sourcing of some companies. Competition is real, and so every company has to work to ensure that it produces a product that can stand out the competitors. Different suppliers need to be engaged to help solve the shortage problems. Conclusion A supply chain is an important tool in the production industries. It gives the direction in which production has to take place, from the supply of the raw material to processing, distribution and finally consumption by the consumers.
